钓鱼给人的启示：锲而不舍，久久为功

　　The Enlightenment of Angling to Us

　　 During recent continuous sunny autumn days, many people go out angling. They sit or stand on the bank of waters such as a river, a pond or a lake, sticking out fishing rods above water surface, and waiting for fish to take a bite. But it's often the case that not a single fish bites for a very long time, and those who lack patience and persistence stop angling rushly and go home without any catch while the others who have them hold on and all get more or less catch eventually.

　　 Doing other things is just like angling and needs patience and persistence to ensure a successful end. For example, when learning English,you can't expect to master it within a very short time, say a month. It takes you a substantially long time to memorize vocabulary alone, to say nothing of grammar. Therefore, in the long course of learning English, patience and persistence matter significantly. You shouldn't be frustrated at your not being able to attain your expected phased goal within a short period of time. As long as you are patient and persistent, with a long lasting acumulation process, it's not difficult for you to be proficient in this language at last.

　　 近来秋高气爽，阳光灿烂，很多人去河湖水边垂钓，他们或坐或站，手持钓竿，等待鱼儿上钩。但鱼儿长时间不上钩是常事，有人因此就没了耐心和坚持，匆匆收竿，一无所获回家了；也有人坚持下来，最终或多或少都有所收获。

　　 做其他事情就像钓鱼一样，要想取得成功，也需要耐心和坚持。例如学习英语，你不要指望在诸如个把月的短时间内就能掌握它，因为光是识记词汇就要花费大量时间，更不用说语法了。所以在学习英语的漫长过程中，耐心和坚持非常重要，如果没有在短时间内达到所设定的阶段性预期目标，你也不必灰心丧气。对你来说，只要锲而不舍，久久为功，日积月累，最终精通这门语言并非难事。
